To my fellow art lovers,

My name is Nitza Naar.  I was born in 1944 from a long line of Jerusalemites.

 I am a descendent of the Rav Ze'ev Mintzburg, z'l, who rescued the Jews from the old city in 1948 from the Arab invasion.  My family history is exhibited in the Museum of the Kotel in the old city of Jerusalem.

Today I am retired from teaching arts and crafts for 40 years; and live in Netanya, a mother of three and grandmother of 3.

 I paint from great will that is inside of me to express the happiness of being an artist.  I try to inject my feelings though the brush into the colors that I display.  I try to give the observer the opportunity to look into his own sole and personal feelings.  At the moment that my painting speaks to the observer, this is what gives me the strength to create and look for new techniques in my own style that are different from the regular styles.  In strong colors that enter the heart of the observer without any hesitation.  The message is clear.  I work in oil, acrylic, ackvaryl, and collages that are always searching to join new techniques that come from within me as an original style.

 In the exhibit "Desert Sensations," I show the subject of the desert and Bedouins, where the eye speaks. This is the first exhibit that shows the mystery of the desert.  These works will be displayed in the Biblical Museum in Tel Aviv in March 2006.  In this past exhibit it was possible to see places in the world that I visited.  The paintings show the deepness of the entrances, windows, and streets that are authentic to the subject area.

 In other exhibits you will experience the scenery of the Disengagement and different traditions like the Mexicans, Greece, and Jerusalem for example.  I want to highlight the experience of the attacks of the intifata in the eyes of the observer, and also, the terrorist attack on the twin towers of September 11, 2001.I want this the observer to feel the  atmosphere of fear and disaster  that surrounded this event.  Afterwards, an exhibition about the tsunami that occurred at the end of 2004 in Southeast Asia called "The Ups and Downs," and other exhibits that will follow showing future worldwide events that focus on strong feelings.

 I am a known artist in Netanya.  A member of the Non-Profit Artists Association of Israel.  I have exhibited at the following respected places in Israel:
